In this module, participants integrate all preceding modules into a comprehensive understanding of the global regulatory landscape shaping AI governance. As frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, FINMA, BaFin, DORA, SOX, and Basel evolve, boards face heightened expectations to demonstrate transparent, well-documented, and enforceable compliance structures. This module equips directors and senior leaders to steer complex obligations, mitigate regulatory risk, and evidence accountability with confidence.
By completing Module 6, participants will:
• understand the global AI regulatory landscape and its implications for board oversight,
• interpret the EU AI Act’s requirements and phased compliance deadlines,
• apply the NIST AI Risk Management Framework to organizational AI systems,
• assess exposure to high-risk AI classifications and related compliance burdens,
• design scalable compliance frameworks aligned with emerging cross-border requirements,
• establish clear board-level accountability for regulatory compliance and monitoring,
• prepare proactively for audits, enforcement actions, and government investigations,
• demonstrate compliance maturity through traceable documentation and governance evidence.
To ensure practical application, Module 6 provides customizable frameworks, templates and/or other materials that help boards operationalize compliance and audit readiness. These include:
• an audit readiness assessment for evaluating current preparedness,
• a regulatory inquiry response checklist to guide structured reporting and communication,
• an audit trail data schema template to standardize compliance documentation.
